Rozalynn Goodwin is a native of Mt. Carmel, SC. With a population of 237, the small town’s values of family and community were instilled and continue to influence Rozalynn today. She acquired a passion for the plight of working mothers when she became one in October of 2006, giving birth to her daughter, Gabrielle. Rozalynn’s priorities changed almost instantly from breaking the glass ceiling to being the primary nurturer of her daughter’s destiny. Rozalynn believes there is no job more important than motherhood and is dedicated to working with businesses and government to reestablish the priority of motherhood in the workplace.
Rozalynn works as Director of Policy Research and a lobbyist for the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA). Prior to joining SCHA, Rozalynn worked in strategic planning and system development with Palmetto Health and in health and human services policy research in the Office of former South Carolina Governor Jim Hodges. Rozalynn holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management from Lander University and a Master of Health Administration from the University of South Carolina. She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and serves on the board of the SC Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. Rozalynn is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as an elder at her church, Right Direction Christian Center.
Rozalynn, her daughter and wonderful husband Michael live in Columbia, South Carolina.
