South Carolina Hospital Association |
|
Founded in 1921, the South Carolina Hospital Association
(SCHA) is the leadership organization and principal advocate for the state’s
hospitals and healthcare systems. SCHA supports
its 100 member hospitals in addressing the healthcare needs of South
Carolinians through advocacy, education, networking and regulatory
assistance.
SCHA makes motherhood a priority through options for flexible
work schedules and telecommuting. The Association also recently established a
short-term disability benefit that provides a salary percentage for eight weeks
and maternity is a covered condition.
SCHA President and CEO Thornton Kirby believes these
policies are not only beneficial for mothers, but also for the organization. “As a member services organization, we
recognize that our employees are our most valuable assets. Employee job satisfaction directly impacts
our effectiveness as an organization. SCHA has long held a reputation as a family-friendly working environment. As a result, we have loyal employees who
provide quality member services to hospitals across the state of South
Carolina.”
